Things.

Things I want to do more:
1. sing 2. sew 3. paint 4. go to shows 5. serve 6. cook & bake 7. read 8. exercise 9. swim 10. pray 11. go to the farmers market 12. ride bikes & not drive our cars 13. pick flowers 14. write letters 15. spend less money 16. give 17. write in my journal 18. swing 19. go outside 20. take pictures

Yesterday I had a 'why the heck have I not been doing the things I love moment' the things that make me happy and make up part of who I am. Living near J will bring the creativity back in me. I just know it. I'm not big on new years resolutions but maybe the move will mark a new start to the creative side in me. There are so many things I want to do & need to do more.

Matthew was up the ENTIRE night last night throwing up. Poor thing. We went to the hospital this morning (we like to be extra careful because he has type one diabetes). The 3 hours there were worth it to him because of the meds he was given. He was supposed to work today (& I'm sad he is sick) but I'm happy he now gets to spend the day with me. We are going to go lay on his parents couch and watch cable. (& maybe I will even swim!) It's the little things right? :)
Anyways I'm finished with work and it is packing from here on out! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

P.S Did I mention we now have a home to live in? :) Yippee! I'm off to look for home inspiration. Where else do you go other than Anthropologie for inspiration? Here is a photo from their latest catalog. Also, why do they do everything so perfect?

Vertigo.

Today I woke up with Vertigo. I have had problems for  a little while but not this bad. My allergies cause my sinuses not to drain causing but ears to get thrown off. You would think getting to spin around would be fun.. but it is not. Matthew went on a run so I decided one more blog entry today wouldn't hurt.
Anyways. On a different topic, over the weekend we watched two good movies. The first one we watched was Made in Dagenham'. It's about the women's rights movement in Great Britain. The second one was a documentary called 'God Grew Tired of Us' it is on Sudanese refugees who came to America. This movie made me cry. It was convicting and challenging. It was definitely a reminder that God has called us to help people.  It made me feel so small and inadequate yet called to something bigger than myself. I know married couples are not the only ones who go through this but how to you not get stuck in the mundane? How do you not get soaked into the American Dream and live selflessly serving God. Our church has so many opportunities to serve but even the options can get overwhelming. I have read the book Radical but still I'll take any advice you'll give me. I don't want to waste my life on myself. We have to DO something.
God, help us to live for your name sake alone.
'By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.'1 john 3:16-18

Friday.

Who believes what we've heard and seen? Who would have thought God's saving power would look like this? The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healedWe're all like sheep who've wandered off and gotten lost. We've all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we've done wrong, on him, on him. He was beaten, he was tortured, but he didn't say a word. Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered and like a sheep being sheared, he took it all in silence. Justice miscarried, and he was led off— and did anyone really know what was happening? He died without a thought for his own welfare, beaten bloody for the sins of my people. They buried him with the wicked, threw him in a grave with a rich man, Even though he'd never hurt a soul or said one word that wasn't true. Still, it's what God had in mind all along, to crush him with pain. The plan was that he give himself as an offering for sin so that he'd see life come from it—life, life, and more life. And God's plan will deeply prosper through him.Out of that terrible travail of soul, he'll see that it's worth it and be glad he did it.Through what he experienced, my righteous one, my servant, will make many "righteous ones," as he himself carries the burden of their sins. Therefore I'll reward him extravagantly— the best of everything, the highest honors—Because he looked death in the face and didn't flinch, because he embraced the company of the lowest. He took on his own shoulders the sin of the many, he took up the cause of all the black sheep.

Overwhelmed.

It's 3:00am and I am wide awake. I don't hate it right now but I'm sure I will regret it in the morning. As I've been laying in bed I have been thinking about a few things:
First of all I've been thinking about how wonderful my husband is. I've been sick the past 2 days & he has done such a great job taking care of me. I am so blessed. Secondly, I've been thinking about baby Lenox and the entire Reeves family. The Lord has worked our things so perfectly. He is so good & takes such good care of us. I've been overwhelmed with who He is tonight. He is so worthy of my praise. He is the one who put Matthew in my life & he is the one who created sweet baby Lenox. He is wonderful, He is righteous, He is loving, He is patient, He is kind, He is gentle, He is just, He is noble, He is my counselor, He is mighty, He is the ruler of the universe, He is the fairest among ten thousand, He is good and He is MY Lord and MY shepherd and He is so much more than I can even express. Tonight I'm overwhelmed with the way he loves me.. how He died for an unrighteous sinner like me and gave me life abundantly. Thank you Jesus for who You are!
& I will end with a song by John Mark Mcmillan. The story behind song is also incredible.. you can listen to that one HERE.

'He is jealous for me, Love's like a hurricane, I am a tree, Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy, When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me. Oh, how He loves us so. Oh, how He loves us, How He loves us so. So we are His portion and He is our prize, Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes If grace is an ocean we're all sinking. So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss and my heart turns violently inside of my chest I don't have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way, That he loves us, Oh how He loves us' -John Mark Mcmillan

Thinking.

Today.. I am thinking about Japan & praying for them.
I am thinking about the coming of Christ (read matthew 13)
I am thinking about our camping trip on Monday! (Eeek!)
I am wishing our trip to Alabama was sooner & wanting to be able to drive to Jessica's house right now.
I am listening to the newest Passion CD. (It is SO good!) My favorite songs: All To Us & Lord, I Need You.
'Lord I need you, Oh I need you, Every hour I need you. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh God how I need you. Where you are Lord I am FREE, holiness is Christ in me.' Chris Tomlin
I am also wishing I was in this pretty little picture bellow swinging away in the hammock. (source)

Trees.

I don't have much to say today. No reason, just don't. I'll say this one thing..
Have I mentioned I love the trees is Texas? In some areas they are spread out enough to make a canopy for you to lay under. Mmm. Hurry up Spring!
Picture #1 taken by yours truly & picture #2 taken by WE+Photographie (all rights are reserved to them).

Seek the LORD while he may be found, call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, o that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hand! Isaiah 55:6-12.

Run.

I went running outside yesterday (first time in months). I may have found one of those 'gems' i was talking about a few posts back. I ran by an elementary school that reminded me of the one I went to growing up. There is a track around the school with trees & a park behind it. I laughed when I had to stop & walk about half way around the track. I'm still that little girl I was in elementary school. Still a little timid, still bad at spelling, and still bad at running. I was 'that kid' that got to stop & walk half way during the mile run because of my asthma. Some things don't change. I'm glad I can laugh at myself now instead of being embarrassed like I was back then. Walking around the school felt peaceful. Maybe it's because it felt so familiar.. & maybe because there wasn't anyone around but a few children laughing right outside of the school. It will be nice to ride my bike there on beautiful days & read under the trees.
Again and again I am thankful.
'Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, & his wondrous works to the children of man, For he satisfies the longing soul & the hungry soul he fills with good things' Psalm 107 (vs8&9)

Thoughts.

Thoughts of today:
Today is the 1st of March. Just saying 'March' makes me feel warm inside. January & February always sound so cold to me but March gives me the feeling that Spring is on its way. Hallelujah for that.
We are sitting on the couch with the windows & the door open, listening to Horse Feathers on Pandora, & planning on not having plans. I am thankful for days like today. I bought some flowers earlier and placed them by the window. I've been meditating on a few verses in my head.
The simple things are standing out on this Tuesday.. simple truths and simple things.
Iv'e been thinking about this quote by St. Augustine lately..
"O Lord, you have made us for yourself and our hearts are restless until they rest in you." St. Augustine
It started last week when I heard a man explaining the Gospel to another man in Starbucks.  I've never been so encouraged and convicted by listening in on a conversation. I happened to sit down when the guy started sharing about the faith & hope we can have in God. He quoted off scripture to him left and right. This challenged me in my knowledge of scripture and in my sharing about this great hope.
The other night I left work exhausted in every way. I felt so weary from the weight of the world. I sat in my car a while thinking about what I would do without the hope that I have in God. I cannot depend on myself or other people to get me by. I can only put my faith and hope in Christ. (As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me psalm 40:17) Thinking about how so many people live without hope in Christ overwhelms me. Everything else fails but the love of God. Im thankful for that man in Starbucks who is sharing the hope he has with others and how God used him to remind me and to challenge me to do the same.
'Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.' (Hebrews 11:1-3)
Anyways, i'm going to end with the verse.
Here are a few pictures from last night. Josh Ritter is an amazing writer & super entertaining. I was thoroughly impressed to say the least.
Side note about the car picture: During our 2 year long distance relationship we drove a lot. We have taken SO many pictures in the car like this. It's always really funny for some reason.. placing the camera up on the dash while driving down the interstate.. I'm telling you.. it's the simple things ;)

BentTree.

It's Sunday. I like this Sunday for a few reasons.
For us Sunday is the day before our weekend (Monday & Tuesday)
On this Sunday it feels like summer outside.. a little humid.. & really warm.
On Sunday we get to go to Bent Tree (Our new church that we LOVE.) The pastor is amazing. You can tell when you walk in the place that the people are hungry for God to move in their lives. The ministers sincerely care about the hearts of the people there. We have been doing a series on marriage (perfect timing for us huh?) I feel so encouraged when I leave. God is good to us. When we thought the search for a church would be never ending he connected us in just the right time.
Jessica sent me this picture in an email the other day. Thought it was fitting :)

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!” As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. Ps.40:16-17

Radical.

I've been reading the book Radical by David Platt. I have heard him preach on "The Radical Experiment" before but this book is rocking my world. If you are a Christian or Non-Christian its a good book to read. It exposes the way we have twisted Christianity to our liking and live life for ourselves. It tells the Gospel of Christ and shows our desperate need for God. Since reading it i feel the gracious love of God for me. PLEASE read it.
Here is the website... and this video is a clip with David Platt speaking about what's in the book.

Peace.

(taken by my beautiful friend Sandra)

Life has been good lately but I will say it has felt a little chaotic.

Little things have happened to me to make it feel that way.

Its one of those times where I see and feel that the world and everything in it is way bigger than anything I am.

The things that I have complained about and felt pain over lately are kind insignificant compared to the rest of the things going on in the world and going on in other peoples lives…

my good friend Megan’s mom has been battling breast cancer and was in remission. She went to the doc for a check up and was told it had spread to her Lungs and lymph nodes etc.. (That’s something you can be praying for, for sure) It hurts my heart so much.

I listened to NPR on the way back to TN. I listened to people talk about the war for about an hour and nothing about it felt encouraging.

Later that night I got to read an article about some friends who were in a terrorist attack bombing in Africa. The grace of God is good though. All 8 of them are ok but saw some crazy stuff go on. You can read the story here. Praise God for his protection.

Now to add to it all I was also told a story about my friend’s friend who died last weekend. All of this came on me in the matter of 24 hours. With the knowledge of all this information I have a choice. A choice to be scared and in fear or to put my hope in the one who is in control of life itself.

Its not always easy, but I do know He is trustworthy.

I read a blog entry from a Campus Crusade staff member on Peace yesterday.. Here is a clip from Justin’s post.

“3You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.

4Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”

-Isaiah 26:3-4

When we trust in God, He puts our mind at peace (3v.). It is not a mental game, it is not New Age positive-thinking, nor is it a coping tool. When we truly entrust God with our lives, souls, day’s work, family life, dreams, problems, insecurities, past pain, fear, hopes, positions, speech, money, relationships, etc. He sets us at peace about it.

How does this work? The ancient Hebrew word ‘peace’ carries a different meaning than the meaning we commonly associate with ‘peace’ today. Today we see ‘peace’ as the absence of conflict. However, peace in this passage is the Hebrew word shalom, which means peace by experiencing the presence of God in your situation. Not the absence of conflict, but rather the overwhelmingly calm feeling of knowing God is with us regardless of conflict or problems we face. Life and circumstances will change, Verse 4 assures us God will not be changing, He is the Rock to trust in.

For we all know and have experienced, trusting in Jesus doesn’t just erase our issues, conflicts or problems. But when we trust Jesus in our problems, we do have the confidence that God is guiding us and with us to walk through those problems. Let us pursue shalom today.

(Here is his blog link)

Ok so that was basically his entire entry but I thought it was really good.

Today I have to have peace or the presence of God fill me when all else is coming apart around me. He is good. He is faithful. He is righteous. And He has overcome the world!

Oh and He’s coming back!!!!! :)

In this I rejoice today!

It definitely puts a smile on my face in the midst of the chaos.

Spoken Word.

Thought this was beautiful.

Alive.

I left Starbucks in tears today.
I know what you're thinking.. "oh no, why did she leave in tears"
But, the reason I was crying was a good reason.
I had to get up in leave in fear that i wouldn't be able to control myself if i sat there any longer.
I was crying because i was in awe of the gracious love of God.
I've been reading Psalm 119 lately. I've taken a few verses everyday and dwelt on the Word of God being alive. I have been through a "drier" season of my life the past year. Where i didn't feel or sense anything when i was reading the Word (not saying it wasn't alive, it was just a season of testing form the Lord. A testing of my faithfulness in times silence and of no feeling etc). My plan of action was to dwell and mediate on what the Word was and what it means to me.
I was reading 1 peter today and the word came alive to me! I broke down in tears because i felt the Love of God for me and his children pour out from the very words that i was reading. He is so good and so gracious! One way it came alive to me today was through the word "precious". This word is mentioned more than a couple of times in 1Peter but here are 3 of the verses where it is mentioned.

1peter 1:6&7
(to preface, this verse is talking about the greatness of the hope that God has brought us through salvation and the resurrection of Christ from the grave)
"In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ"
1peter2:4&5
As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1peter3:4
but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

His people are so very precious to Him. Our faith is precious to Him. We are precious in His sight. Our hearts and our beauty is precious to Him. Our obedience is precious to Him. WE HIS CHILDREN ARE PRECIOUS TO HIM.

So simple, yet so powerful and when the word of God is alive in someone you know it.
I want people to know it. I want to be one of those people.
The word of God changes us.

So, in closing...

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
&
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Collossians 3:16

He is so good.

yahweh.

I made this video as part of my final in my Digital Media Seminar. Its pretty simple.. and not as complex as some of my other projects but i'm happy how it turned out. Enjoy! xoxo

Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1

How He loves.

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us so

Happy sunday! xoxo.

peace.

Spring Break was great. I spent the first weekend celebrating the engagement of my brother and his now fiance Emma. I am so excited for them and to soon have a new member to our family. The entire week was spent in Fayetteville with Matthew. We simply hung out for most of the time but did go on a hiking adventure one day. I will post photos soon. I was great to road trip to Alabama with Matt and just do life with him here and there. After dating almost 2 years long distance we have finally become more than ok with not doing anything when the other comes to visit. Im really blessed. I knew this before but im seriously realizing more and more how lucky i am. Well i guess i don't believe in luck so i guess i should say im realizing more and more how good the Lord is to me through Matthew. Matthew is the sweetest and thats all i will say about that :o)

I got to eat with Sandra tonight after i took Matthew to the airport. We had so much fun. I forget how much i love birmingham. We ate cupcakes from a cupcakery and just picked back up where we left off. I love friendships like that. I love that i can call her my friend.

In other news. I had a crazy dream last night. I had a dream i was on the beach standing behind a beach house and saw this huge tsunami coming towards me from down the beach.
Weird it was coming from down the beach and not from out in the ocean but i guess that doesn't matter much. I was startled to see it coming but decided to sit still and hide in a hole in the wall instead of running from it. Kinda crazy but i woke up with so much peace. I have shared before that i have pretty crazy dreams. I am usually strongly effected emotionally by them too. This dream made me feel so protected. Like the Lord was showing me that he will be my refuge when things come my way. I have to be still and know He is God. Sandra and I talked abut how this totally describes psalm 46.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;he burns the chariots with fire."Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth!" The LORD of hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our fortress.

So reminder. He is there. He is God. He is love. And He never lets go.

as a side note, i took photos of my road trip home to Alabama for my self portrait stop motion video. I figured nothing tells more about me and my life the past 2 years than traveling. Hopefully when it is finished it will be worthy of sharing on here.

February is for lovers?

So i am in love with the photo collages that 100 layer cake does (it is an amazing wedding blog that i follow.) This one on particular had my attention.
February is always filled with the theme of love. With all the pinks and reds and little hearts everywhere. Of course it is because of Valentines day but other than that why is the whole month filled with "love"? This of course has gotten me to think about love, what it is, and why we are so desperate for it. I am not going to try and answer that question in this entry. I am not going to write down a profound answer that is so thought provoking that i have a million replies. But i will say there already is an answer.. love is what makes us go crazy but it is indeed the one thing that holds all things together. Of course the reason is that God is love. He is the ultimate lover jealous for His bride. He is ultimately the perfect lover who satisfies the desperate need for love in the human heart. John 15:13 says "no greater love has no one, that he that lays his life down for his friends." That is what God did. Jesus died for us, and there is no greater love than that. My friend Emily wrote a song that says "how right they are to adore you, we rejoice, we delight in you." He is to be adored above all else. So many days i waste my time and do not give my first love the adoration He deserves. So in the month of February remember that.. with all the romance, the flowers, the hearts, and the love letters.. Remember the Lover of the world. How to love is found in Him..

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

1 corinthians 13:4-8

patient year.

After taking 3 studio classes at a time the past 2 semesters i've found it hard to stay excited about my school work. I get stressed out about my teachers expectations when i know they would love to see what i come up with no matter if i stayed in the lines of a traditional artist or leaned toward new ideas like the avant-garde artists. Im trying not to look at my projects simply as assignments or grades but as creative projects inspired by an assignment sent to someone else? We will see if this new strategy helps me stay motivated in creating.
Im finding myself asking "Why am i an art major again?" over and over and over again.

Im almost done.
One more year.

It will be a patient year at that.

Another thing running though my head over and over.. "patience.."

Tuesday, July 14, 2009

Mmm.

Ok so Its been a while.
Today i woke up not wanting to go to class. At all. I mean.. when do i ever but today the desire not to was stronger than normal.
I put on my jeans (we are working in the wood shop today so have to wear hot clothes), a tshirt, my keds and off to class it is..
I arrive 5 min. early and our teacher walks in to tell us he has to cancel class due to maintenance that needs to be done in the metal shop.
MMM. Best day ever. I could complain about the gallon of sweat that came off my body from walking to and from class but theres no room for that.

I had so many ideas of blog entry's to write while driving home from California. But of course 2 weeks later the ideas have diminished slightly.
But..
Matt and I drove from California to Texas in 22 hours. Took turns driving and were probably the nastiest people ever after spending 22 hours in a car, that half of the time didn't have a working air conditioner. It was good times.
Really though. Good times apart from us not having an air-conditioner driving across the hottest part of the united states.
I decided that we got abstraction from the Western part of the U.S.
Well, sorta. That could be a controversial statement. Abstraction is a distorted view of something else. But i think you get what i mean.
All throughout Arizona and New Mexico, there are shapes and shapes for miles. I guess you could call tress and stuff in the south organic and abstract? but theres something different about the mounds found in the desert that just scream it. The West has colors not found here. The land and the sky are literally made up or purples and reds. Its amazing.
I got to oppportunity of driving early in the morning through West Texas. I've only heard horrible things about it but because there is nothing there.. it made my view of the sunrise spectacular. Literally... i don't know where the land ended.. the land is so flat and stretches forever.
Just driving for hours, in the middle of nowhere has probably been one of the best parts of my summer so far.. Mainly because it was with Matthew and because theres just something about a road trip that just brings freedom.  Oh and the fact that it was across my native land.. since i am Indian and all...

It could be just the way i think but sometimes i think that my actions are symbolic for where i am. And i sometimes intentionally do things because i think its symbolic to where i am, what I'm doing, what I'm going though, etc.  That might be weird and not make sense but driving like we did this summer kinda describes my life right now. Explaining that could take a while.

I feel different now than I did when I left for the Summer.
A good different.
I've learned so much the past 2 months. Ive learned about myself, about God, about the world, about relationships.. really about life in general.

Ive learned that I am my own person. I have my own decisions to make, and my own experiences that i go through with God alone. At the same time. I'm just like everyone else. We are all sinners. I am a sinner. And a good one at that. I'm in need of a savior daily just like everyone. I'm in need of community and of dependence. A simple truth. But a good one that I'm sure I'm going to be reminded of everyday for the rest of my life.

Now for a few random things.

I want to start a book club.
I have 5 books on my list already.

I hung out with Davis Ann last night, she's the best.
Its amazing of the things that change in 2 months. How you can see how you, and your friends have grown just by being away from them a short time. I'm ready for her to be back here with me. The next year should be interesting. We are different today than we were yesterday and going into out last year of college should make it an interesting yet good time.

I'm going to see Jessica this weekend :)
Shes gonna help me name my new car.. and teach me about my new computer. I'm excited. I always get a warm feeling when i think about going to Cleveland. Maybe because every other time I've been its been in the fall. And that makes me feel warm? haha i dunno.

Matt's coming in 2 weeks. Anticipation makes the 2 weeks seem like 2 months.

Anyways. God is good.
I'm a sinner.
He loves me.
And that's good.

hm. Now what to do with a day that i have no class?

Good day to everyone!

reality.

I'm sitting on my couch in the Beach Plaza Hotel.
Long Beach is one of the most interesting places..
We have drug dealers living under us..
Homeless living right out side our doors..
Million Dollar houses down the street..
And a homosexual coffee shop across the park from our hotel...

With all of these differences the world seems to still go on..
No one is disturbed... of course there is chaos.. but at the same time its just how things are...
Its sad really..
sad that the norm is chaos..

I feel peaceful though..
In the midst of fear.. fear of earthquakes.. failure as a disciple.. and of all the violence that could happen any time..

I'm listening to an instrumental song that Jessica gave me in tenth grade when she got home from church camp..
The song has helped me sleep many nights and just brings back flash backs of good times.. with her.. with the lord.. i keep playing a scene in my head of riding in Jessica's car with her and Meghan Hill singing our lungs out to U2 on the pb and j mix.. i miss that. I loved the summer after my tenth grade year..
Being here has made me really realize how much I've grown up.. grown up from that place..
Meghan in getting married.. along with 2 of my other friends who i spent that summer with.. its so weird...
